EMOTIONAL BALANCE

M
any times we need someone on each side to hold us up while the Lord is unraveling things that have held us back.
Sherri and I would love to assist you in this arm of your journey.  Let me assure you--the only reason we could even begin to travel this road with you is because we have traveled it before and we have surfaced with much joy in our hearts.  We have surfaced with compassion for the one coming right behind us on this rocky trail, and maybe we can show you where some of the pitfalls are.  Maybe we can help you see where some of the traps of the enemy are so that you will be spared the hard places we have had to walk.  Maybe you just do not want to examine your emotions alone.  Maybe we are just to hold your hand and love on you along the way.  Whatever you need, we are willing and able to go with you.

Emotions---what a sensitive subject!  We are emotional beings.  We are triune beings.  According to the Bible, we are made up of 3 parts-body, soul and spirit.  Our experiences in life bring us to a place where in many cases, our emotional being is wounded and stuck.  Part of balancing our lives is to set aside time to examine our emotions, and discover where we might have been wounded.  This usually happens during a time that we feel weak and vulnerable because we usually don't stop and examine unless life brings us to a place where the wounds are staring us in the face.

As LifeCoaches, Sherri and I counsel people everyday who come seeking help with physical problems--fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, high blood pressure and the list goes on.  But, what we usually find is that accompanying their physical ailment is an emotional ailment.  If we can ease the pain of the emotional wound, the physical usually corrects itself with active participation.

We pray that everyone who visits this webpage will be willing to examine their woundedness.  We pray that God Himself will give you courage and strength to face what you have probably been avoiding for quite some time.  We pray that the Lord will give you a Spirit of wisdom and revelation that you may know Him better.  We pray that the eyes of your heart will be enlightened to the hope in which you have been called.  And we pray that God will give you a willing spirit to sustain you, so that you can do the work that is necessary for you to grab hold of your freedom.  We pray that you will be able to see with clarity the prison that you are in and you will be willing to do what it takes to get out of the prison cell.  Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and He came to set the captives free.  When the person of Truth--Jesus--sets you free, you are free indeed.  Ask the Lord to show you your wounds.  Ask the Lord what your next step is to face the wound.  Ask the Lord to show you the way out of the prison cell.  And ask the Lord to open the bird cage door and let you fly out into the spacious place, the land flowing with milk and honey.  Blessings to you as you embark on this arm of your life journey!
